Touching on James 4:2-3 we need to remember two things: motivation and Will. I have heard so many preach "ye have not, because ye ask not", which leads people right back into the "it's all about me, ask and receive" prayer. Praying with the RIGHT motivation and according to the will of GOD, are key phrases that continually get left out. Prayer is designed to further the Kingdom of God, but it's mostly taught that is designed to further the kingdom of us. Self-centered prayer will not be answered no matter how much "we ask". Our prayer goal is ALWAYS to accomplish God's mission and not our own. Thank you for yet another straight forward article. Thank you Chip.
