I learned to "follow" and to listen to what the leaders had to say. Now, in my senior years, I desire to follow Christ, to do what He would have me do. My own strong willed personality has to decrease that Christ may increase in me. Thank you for this course. I am looking forward to it, with excitement, that I may indeed follow Christ all the rest of my days. I have been in the “church” all my life. How easy it is to think we hear from the Spirit of God and miss His prompting altogether because of "selfish" desires that we perceive in error as being from Him. Religion is the invention of flesh and blood. A relationship with Jesus is the work of God's Spirit. For centuries mankind wants to do good to please God instead allowing God to restore mankind fallen nature which after all, that was the reason He gave His life for mankind. In order to allow our God to change our hearts we need to accept our human nature as it is, damaged. There is nothing good about our human nature but in our human spirit lives the hope of restoration if every believer allows it. We have to start understanding that God came in Jesus to change our human nature with the human nature we had before mankind decided to go and do his way insted God's way. This is our salvation, the restoration of our human nature. We also need to understand that heavens is coming to earth one day and the Government of God will rule here on earth and the New Jersalem will take place here on earth. This is not a matter of heaven and hell is a matter of life. This is our hope and assurance that we were created to live under His ways because His ways are good and perfect and the best of all He did for love. The conclusion is, that being taught directly by Jesus is what God designed for us. He have gave His children talents to be use for the growth of His building, not for you stand in popularity or to feel that you are being a good christian or a chirstian at all. How great life is knowing that we have a Creator that love us unconditionally and that we learn from Him directly. Is great to understand that Jesus gave talents to His children so all we can grow together as a perfect building. We are all believers with diferent talents to be one with the Head and function in perfect harmony with the Head, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. This is what I see in the Bible. That is why religion is so wrong in their ways, because is not one with the Head. Is divided by opinions and traditions that does not produce any life whatsoever. I truly believe Jesus is building His House and our intention should be just to learn His simple ways through discipleship not traditions so He has a place of resting and the the world can see Him for who He is. May our Lord Jesus continue winning us for His pleasure and purpose. Really, at the end of times the only thing we want is to gain Him completly so He can present to Himself the precious stones that He made from us and we will have the pleasure to receive the new name He has for each of us on the white stone that He promised. We are not contending against the flesh and blood but against the principalities and powers against the world rulers of this present darkness against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in Heavenly places.Put on the whole armour of God, so that we may stand against the wiles of the Devil. Also Luke 14:31, Carrying the Cross involves Violence, seeking Christ and His Kingdom involves Violence. Not I but Christ involves violence. When i say relationship i mean the kind King David spoke of in PSLMS 23 & in PSLMS 42.The majority of so called believers don`t want that kind of relationship.Why because,it is easier to have relationship with the things of God then the God of the things!
