God bless you Brother Chip. I read your work on Victory as a person some time past in London. I’m here in Ghana, West Africa.

Something in me agrees with you and I know it is the unction within from the Holy one. I’m yet to know more. You give me precious memories of the man of God Art Katz who’s gone to be with the Lord.

I pray more grace, knowings and utterance form the Holy one for you.

Eve – I have just read your comment and agree with you about the ‘freedom’ in Christ Jesus. He is our freedom..
You have seen the movie “Matthew…”, I recommend the book “In the Footsteps of Jesus”, written by Bruce Marchiano – It is his account of how he prayed/went to Jesus before each ‘shoot’. He relates the revelations that Jesus gave him, as to how he should ‘live’ each scene.

The chapters ‘Man of Joy’, and ‘…Redemptive Love’ give an insight to Jesus which I had not seen before – the Joy of God once more being with His children, of Jesus with His brothers and sisters.

Bruce’s description of ‘The Cross’ tells of revelation to cast and crew that Jesus willingly gave Himself as a sacrifice for all mankind, willingly..!

I have always had difficulties with men acting the part of Jesus – my wife and I watched the movie, we read the book, and then we watched the movie again with a better understanding of Jesus.

Hi Chris,

What you write makes perfect theological sense, but will we ever “arrive” at the place where Christ-in-us makes us sinless?

I’m asking because I’ve met a person who claims she is sinless because of Christ-in-her, yet the way she claims to love doesn’t seem sinless. When I challenged her about an area of her life, she wrote me out of her life and told me I wasn’t fully walking in the Spirit. That was five years ago. Is anyone ever fully walking in the Spirit and/or sinless because of Christ-in-him/her?

And I have looked up that word “perfect” in the Greek and Hebrew and found it to mean complete, not sinless. We are complete in Christ– meaning we have all we need to live in this world and the next– but we can still sin while in this body on this earth. When we do, we are grieved and repent quickly, right? But we are not sinless because of Christ-in-us, right?

I’m really struggling with this doctrine because of the claims of this woman and her response to me. I’ve been waiting for five years for some insight from the Lord that gives me the peace I’m seeking. Perhaps it is my wilderness time. I’m looking forward to Chip’s teachings on this subject of the wilderness.

Anyway, I’m rambling now. Thank you for taking the time to respond to me, Chris.

Hi Linda,
I’m not Chip, of course, but thought I’d add my two cents. I remember years ago in church wondering about the scripture that says ‘be ye perfect even as your Father in Heaven is perfect’. I thought, how can that possibly be achieved? Now I know that it’s achieved the same way we achieve a greater degree of sinlessness in our lives. It’s in recognizing Another living IN US, who IS perfect and sinless, and as we continue to acknowledge Him in every area of our life, that it’s no longer we who live but Christ who lives in us, then He continues His good work in us which he began and only He can complete.

So even overcomers sin, right? Overcomers are not sinless; they are simply not controlled by the power of sin anymore. Do I have a correct understanding?

And if so, why do overcomers still sin?

And what about people who claim they don’t sin anymore? Isn’t that sin? Or is that the testimony of an overcomer?

I just came across this website a couple of nights ago, and am SO thankful I did. It is so encouraging to hear others who understand the true meaning of Christianity and our walk “in Christ”. He is my All in All, providing all I need to be more than a conquerer–I am now indeed an overcomer in Christ!

To live as more than a conqueror make me think of the LIVING BIBLE MATTHEW FILM, ON THE LIFE OF JESUS, staring Bruce Marchano

At the end of the film Jesus does a simple walk, after he has seen both Mary’s near the tomb. It is a relaxed walk, not a power walk as you often see in politicians. My point is that Jesus knows who he is and he is accepted by God.

As I live and go about my day as a Christian, I so often see other Christians burdened by their own worries. But I walk in a different way, one of a given freedom for I know that Jesus loves and accepts me as I am now. Through this sound knowledge of acceptance I find when I do do things wrong, I can stop and remember that God loves me and understands me, that as I learn, like a toddler beginning to walk; I will fall down. So then I live in the freedom of acceptance so I am free for those whom the Son sets free are free indeed.
