JULY 24

Christ My Righteousness
“But of Him you are in Christ Jesus,
who became for us wisdom from God — and righteousness
and sanctification and redemption.”
1 CORINTHIANS 1:30

This is a very rich verse. We have already seen how the Lord Jesus is given to be our Life. Upon that basis we can lay claim to everything else. Here we see that to those of us who are in Christ, He is made to be our wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. It does not say that He gives these things to us, but that He is these things in us.

By accepting Jesus Christ in our life, it becomes complete. We become whole. Without Christ we are nothing on this earth. .Once we accepted Him, let our faith grow stronger and stronger as we walk on our journey in life. That’s it.

When Jesus told his followers that they would have to eat His body and drink His blood they had no understanding of what He was saying. Many were offended and stopped following Him. Doesn’t this simple little teaching of Chip’s convey to us that very thing…..that we are to take in ALL that He brings to us, He becomes and IS our LIFE, and the Source of ALL our need…..He IS the bread of life, the wellspring of love, joy, peace, and goodness that He invites us to partake of! Hallelujah! Thank You, dear LORD Jesus for ALL that You are!

It is “He” within me that “lives”, not I, “forevermore”! If we have Him we have all things and nothing of us is needed, except to yield to Him.
