You’re invited to our monthly home gathering!
We’d like you to join us for a time of teaching, learning, growing, and connecting with others who are on a similar path towards spiritual maturity.
The School of Christ meets once a month in our home in upstate New York (about 25 minutes from Rochester). These home meetings are open to anyone who wants to learn about Jesus and connect with others in a safe, friendly, relaxed, non-religious environment.
Home meetings typically occur on the first Sunday of every month from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (winter weather permitting).

Q: What do you actually DO at these home meetings?
A: We practice “Reaching Up, Reaching In, and Reaching Out.” There is time for ministry to the Lord and to one another. There is time for teaching and discussion. And there is time for sharing a meal. Our goal is to meet spiritual needs while paying attention to the need for interacting with others.
Q: Who leads the meeting / teaching?
A: Chip facilitates the teaching and group discussion so that everyone who wants to participate has the opportunity to do so.
Q: Do you offer something for the kids?
A: This once-a-month home meeting is for adults only. Older teens willing to listen and participate in the teaching and discussion are welcome. We cannot accommodate younger children and ask that you make arrangements for someone to keep them while you attend. In our experience this will results in a better learning experience for you and keeps the little ones from being bored and miserable. Remember, it’s only once a month.
Q: Can I bring my guitar and sing some songs?
A: Thanks, but we’re not trying to re-create church in our home. Our goal (as a school) is to focus on teaching and learning. We might sing a song and we certainly pray but please don’t expect the typical “praise and worship” time that you may be used to.
