From the Cross to the Throne

He who suffers the most has the most to give.

When Paul says “I am crucified with Christ” (Galatians 2:20ff), he is not just using a figure of speech. He is expressing the secret of the Christian life. It is a life that is lived in union with Christ, a life that follows the Lord through death, burial, resurrection, ascension, and seating in the heavenly places.

Abraham gave up the promise of God. Jacob gave up the blessing of God. Joseph gave up the gift of God. Moses gave up the calling of God. In the end, everything was restored – but it was pure, undefiled, and holy.

In all these examples (and many more) God shows us that He must break us before He can make us. This is the principle of death, burial, and resurrection. It is a principle at work in every believer, and it is the key to understanding why the Lord permits us to go through the things we do.

In these four messages we take you “from the Cross to the Throne” and outline the narrow path every true disciple of Jesus must take in order to Overcome. We call upon the listener to accept the suffering of the Cross in order to experience the victory of the Throne. This is the only way to make sense of our trials and find purpose in our pain.

There are four messages in this series, including:

Part 1 – The Principle Of Union With Christ
Part 2 – Crucified With Christ
Part 3 – Dead And Buried With Christ
Part 4 – Raised, Ascended, And Seated With Christ
