Balance. Remember this article is just a man’s point of view though full of good insight to think about but we seek Our Lord and His Word, which you referenced ? and He will direct our path .

REALLY GOOD STUFF....

And when GOD lets us experience HIS KIND OF TRUE FELLOWSHIP (the kind the FATHER, SON and Holy Spirit continually share with each and enjoy)...then the desire for anything less than that, is lost. Oh that we might all become so totally yielded to JESUS...that we might all lay down our lives in complete surrender to our LOVING FATHER and learn more about HIS OVERCOMING AGAPE LOVE for ALL...that we might all come to KNOW HIM even more and more...and MORE!

Thank you Chip.
BLESSINGS & HEALTH to you & your family...
And to all within your circle of life, love & influence!

This explains a lot of what the Spirit is showing me in my daily walk. I appreciate the confirmation, and the simple explanation of why God has placed me where I am so often alone. It no longer hurts or bothers me since I have Jesus with me,in me, all the time. Just need to spend more time focused on Him more often. Thanks for all you shared. Peace be with you.

Wow! Thanks Chip. I remember how when I was first saved we drug addicts often spoke of receiving the Lord as the highest high! Oh how I appreciate more and more the mercy and forbearance of God to me! In that respect I see how I traded drugs and that lifestyle for Jesus and church! My new addiction came with lots of meetings to sustain the “high”and attending church after church looking for what “I” imagined was the real deal and “like-minded” people to hang with!
That began in 1976 and really it has only been a few years since I have been unlearning most of what I learned and believed right down to finding that the Lord Himself was Someone other than Who I thought He was - I had made Him in my own image-ination.

Matthew 17:4-5 (ESV)

4 And Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good that we are here. If you wish, I will make three tents here, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah.” 5 He was still speaking when, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my beloved Son,[a] with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.”

…“LISTEN TO HIM.” (my caps)

I am thinking that we are still building “Tents” (“churches”) to our religious idols.
Due to what I learned in the course,“At His Feet”, I am reading the words of Jesus in the gospels now with new ears and eyes!

I was concentrating on The School of Christ “At His Feet” and so I did not attend the recent “…7 Temples of God” series but loved what Chip wrote presenting #7

Quote: “I don't go to church; I AM the church!” (my thoughts)

I like the idea behind that saying, just not the words.

(I'm get really particular over "words".)

That word "church" is overloaded with too much religious and emotional baggage.

So much so that I don't even want to say, "I am the church."

Ugh.

I prefer the word "ekklesia" to refer to the Body of Christ: the assembly of the called-out people.

But if you start going around saying, "I am the Ekklesia" you will get some funny looks.

You have to explain what it means, even to Christians.

And is it wholly accurate?

I don't think any one person can say, "I am the Ekklesia."

It's not a PLACE, but neither is it a PERSON; it is a PEOPLE.

WE are the Ekklesia - but no one person can say they are, by themselves, THE Ekklesia.

But I know one thing I CAN say...

"I AM THE TEMPLE!"

That's true of me, individually, as the temple of the Holy Spirit.

It's also true of us as a people; together, the Ekklesia is the temple.

And that is one of the most significant developments in the history of God's dealings with man: that we can become a dwelling place for God.

And so, when the temple in Jerusalem was destroyed, Israel ceased to exist, and the people were devastated.

But the Temple of the Holy Spirit cannot be destroyed.

The gates of hell will not prevail against the Ekklesia that Jesus is building.

Yet this is all a work in progress…”

Reading the comments I wanted to add this part of your intro, Chip, since it might clarify the isolation being required to KNOW Christ, not just learn OF Him which can separate us from fellowship which is to be in Spirit and Truth.

2 Corinthians 5:16 (AMPC)
16 Consequently, from now on we estimate and regard no one from a [purely] human point of view [in terms of natural standards of value]. [No] even though we once did estimate Christ from a human viewpoint and as a man, yet now [we have such knowledge of Him that] we know Him no longer [in terms of the flesh].

I have read, and believe it is true, that the relationship being organic, when the relationship with the Lord - the vertical is right, the relationship of the Body - the horizontal, will fall into divine order - without our help - and how that looks may be quite other than we have imagined?

It is easy to comment and blah blah but the rubber meets the road in living…
Thank you for being faithful! ❤️✝️??
I am your sister, Judi
