In reply to Josh Goodson. Amen not I but Christ for He is my life. The Crusifixtion brought about the finished work, Christ nailed each and every one of our sins on the Cross, however daily we should have the prayer of repentence, Lord forgive me if I spoke in a way that was not of you, or any thouughts, actions that were not of Christ forgive me Lord. We are one with Him, the Vine and we are the branches. Christ is seated at the right hand of His Father and so are we. We lack nothing.

This is for certain a sacrificed life one must live. The contiuation or part two of the Vine with many branches also says that if the branch does not produce good fruit then it is cut off and thrown in the fire or discarded of. To me that would mean that those who are alive in Christ and those who are dead to their sin cannot be intertwined. Can this also mean that those that don’t bare fruit are distroyed forever or does the fire mean purification? These are just some things that come to mind when I think on these verses.

Brother Chip, you have shone Christ’s Light into our darkness and opened our eyes and ears. Although like Paul, we were not present physically when Christ was crucified, we can echo what Paul says “I am crucified with Christ” and “It is not I but Christ lives in me” If we desire spiritual union, spiritual oneness with Christ, we must bear His Cross otherwise we are just uttering but not doing. Praise the Lord for His supreme sacrifice for all of us, whether believers or non-believers.
