This is such a wonderful picture! Thank you.
When I was a young girl I studied classical piano, and was awesomely blessed to play two-piano concertos with a concert pianist - in concert. I look back now and see how TWO PEOPLE played and melded as one, as each of us HAD to be exquisitely BLENDED with the other so no ONE was the "star" to bring forth the beauty and the sheer wonder of the music that we played together. It was as one....there was no room for "stardom" - each conscious ONLY of the other and making what we played blend together in unison. Only where the melody line had to be accented by either one, was there any part that stood a-part, but the finished work was all that counted.

Not only did we have to work almost faultlessly together, but we had to follow the music as it was written to the note!

I totally get what you are saying Chip! Your picture struck a chord with me.....:-)

Brother Chip, it is a succinct picture of spiritual oneness. The Lord is one with His Father in Heaven and He wants us to be one with Him as He will be a bridge between us and God. No one comes to God except through His beloved Son, our Lord Jesus. It opens our eyes to perceive the Body of Christ like a symphony
where everyone plays a part to compliment one another as one unit and Christ our Leader conducting us.

That is a great illustration. I have known for a long time that just like my voice comfortably and naturally sings harmony, so my place in the Body of Christ is to harmonize.

Of course, I like it, I love it, and I give honour to This oneness, with all my heart, mind and soul.
"That they may be One as we are One." John 17:22. There are thousands of denominations in This World and they have nothing to do with Christ. I do not belong to any organised church but I go to this church, and then to that church and then again to an other church. I am looking for them who are looking for Christ and His Oneness. There is One God, The Only Conductor, The Holy Spirit but tragically they all have their own conductors. There is supposed to be One Bible, watered down into thousands of translations and versions. Every version has its own personal, private interpretation. "God who has made us competent to be ministers of a New Covenant, not in a Written Code but in the Spirit, for the Written Code Kills the Spirit gives Life." 2Cor.2:6 I know nothing good dwells within me, that is in my flesh. I can will what is right but I cannot do it . For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I do. Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I that do it, but sin which dwells within me. Rom.7:18-19

Beautiful illustration, Chip. I am a 'picture' person and love to see and learn that way. What simple illustrations can do in making His word come alive. I have never read a more beautiful illustration in our harmony with God. I remember reading that in one or more of your books. Thanks for sharing.
