Lord bless you Timothy, you are a blessing to the body of Christ

Thank you Lynn, Waking to see this post was such a “wake up call’ to me this morning. Yet, it is so good to see how I felt when I came out, compared to where I stand now. I doubt that I can ever trust any Organized Religious Group (read “Church”) after my eyes have been opened! Sadly to say we can leave it, (the System), but can we then get “that System” out of our thinking and feeling? I HATE THE EXTERNAL RITUAL THAT SEEMS TO WRAP IT’S SERPENT COILS ABOUT ME AT TIMES. But fortunately, now I can either take it or leave it! I don’t need to believe that “doing Church” IS CHURCH! (read that again until it sinks in). I am free in Christ Jesus to be His disciple, NOT THEIR PUPPET! Lord Jesus, let me return to YOU AGAIN. Let me burn for YOU again. I surrender my all to YOU and not their influence. Lead and guide me in YOUR TRUTH. Help me to be rid of sin. In Your Name I Stand. Amen.

Dear Mario, Exactly! I had left a “church” where every fellowship was about their families, homes, and jobs (in that order) and nothing was ever mentioned about Jesus Christ and His work in their lives. That church was becoming ‘the cult of the child’; where everyone’s children had more pre-eminence in their lives than Jesus. The so-called Sunday Adult Education was non-existent; as the then Pastor literally preached from the book- Green Eggs And Ham! Oh, how it makes me weep to think of how far churches have deviated from a Christ- Centered Faith to one that meets their own comforts! Had they all become but “babes in Christ”? The call to True Discipleship is overlooked. Let us always keep our eyes on Jesus and not on ourselves. Timothy.

Interesting to note that most Christians at any gathering they might attend spend much energy talking about their line of work, their favourite sports team or their new car. The first question you’ll hear when getting together is, “how’s work?”, instead of, “what is the Lord revealing to you lately?”

I have heard the same thing from my past, the part about “as you go into the world” vs “go” into the world. In keeping with todays post, I believe that the missionaries are discipled, however is it by the church, with a particular “Religion” in mind. I’ve heard of people returning from the mission field, with a different outlook on a “religious” doctirne only to be told they are no longer funded, better known as the right foot of fellowship. The discipleship mentioned in the post is us and Christ. Those going into the world today have been emotionally enticed by a speaker from the podium. I’ve not seen people being discipled by Christ and then doing what I see the fleshly reactions of all the denominations doing in America.
