Years later after having first read this message, I needed to hear this again today, Chip. So I thank you. Sometimes we think we can solve a problem by hanging on to something we have been attached to, when simply letting go, and moving on is the solution to the problem. Peace comes. “Whom have I in heaven but You? There is none upon earth that I desire besides You. My flesh and my heart fail; but GOD is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” (Psalm 73:25-26) Amen.

Neils,
You have been given lots of wisdom from these dear brothers and sisters in the Lord. I understand the feeling of being overwhelmed and unsure of how to move forward. I’ve been there so many times myself, yet no matter how hopeless things appear, God somehow gives us the grace to get through it. You said you aren’t sure you want to get to the point where you can’t go back. and that you don’t believe you have the faith to get through it. It really comes down to one simple thing. You must trust in the goodness of God, and that His ways and plans for you are far better than anything you can do yourself, even when it doesn’t look like that’s the case. Faith is nothing more than resting in this fact. Fear, doubt, and anxiousness come when we don’t rest in the goodness of God and His love for us. Jesus said, “If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can move mountains.” In other words, don’t focus on your faith, but the object of your faith. its not the size of your faith that matters, its the size of the object of your faith (God) that matters. All you need is a tiny faith in a great big God and you can overcome anything. The mountain you are facing is nothing in comparison to the God of the universe. He loves you more than you can imagine, and He is for you, not against you! He will never give up on you, so don’t give up on Him!

I love how God brings us wisdom and Truth, to help us a bit at a time to walk this path of growing up. Isaiah 28:10 – “For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:” It’s not about how I feel, it’s about my decrease, and His increase. in it all. I love this wilderness.

Our Father God.. never left me alone, I had to learn to die ..forgiving my covenant husband …as I gave my life to Jesus after we married and prayed for his salvation for decades never in my imagination was that the day he had to confess -all was discovered- he received JESUS as Savior—to restore and reconcile is a huge task,2Cor 5,18 events were terrible , all church goers and pastors. told me I HAD grounds for divorce but God said only death ends the ONE FLESH UNION..Genesis 2.24 . Embracing the cross …helped me to resist… Chip s messages were part of my bread during the wilderness…as Hosea …I SAW my miracle… we are like Gomer all of us before our conversion…until we surrender all…my beloved husband ended the last years with ME IN CHURCH–heaven on erth. , shortly before he went to be with his LORD..took his uncovenant daughter Dunia to church and she received JESUS..¡ she confessed me.later.that day my husband had tears of joy¡¡¡ and Dunia came suddenly and said-“i need your forgivness–she tried to separate us as well her mother Susana..- because I KNOW my existenece brought you so much PAIN AND SORROW-and we kissed.each other.. my daughter and son both were in agreement to believe GOD is able, still Susana in our prayers to be saved…¡ after all the day my husband received JESUS.. and prayed with me I SAID..” and God we ask you for the salvation of Susana and the girl-that day I didint know the uncovenant child s name, ” we were a solid marriage, people used to tell us how much they admire us ¡¡ and my daughter Maggilu used to say MY PARENTS HONEY AROUND THEM¡¡ our son says “if I havent seen how GOD SAVED MY PARENTS MARRIAGE IWOULD HAVE DIVORCED ALREADY.” God is good..still the pain and JESUS has been my first love , sometimes I COULDNT RESIST TO BEAR THE CROSS..BUT JESUS KEPT SAYING COME TO ME LULU.. ” when a believer, preacher LEADS TO JESUS ..WE AS BELIEVERS CAN WALK IN THE NARROW PATH..SAFE¡¡ “GOD closed my tears ..and I GAVE A SPEECH..TO THE AUDIENCE..That JESUS SAVES…¡¡ my beloved husband Felipe told me several times.. “Honey thank you so much for fighting to save our marriage, you endured all, forgave me all ,in your place I couldnt have done the same you are real blessing…¡ to GOD BE THE GLORY ¡ I found likeminded believers around the world.. ¡ God is calling to sanctity…John 17.17

For what ever reason I fell into religion and became so religiously worldly that I became spiritually blind to true spirituality. It was not till God in his great love and mercy allowed me to fall and suffer physically, mentally, and materially till I understood that the religious worldly world I had lived and built around me was not the spiritual Kingdom he wanted me to be building and living in. He destroyed what I built so I could not go back to Egypt thank God.

When I have felt like going back I ask myself: ‘How is that really going to help?’ Oftentimes we will put our own comfort before doing the right thing. Then we just enter into the exact same situation again, rather than finding an escape! Friends ARE important, but NONE can ever take the place of Jesus Christ. Nothing will EVER satisfy you like HE ALONE CAN. (Read that sentence again). Go to Him and ask for help and guidance. He is sure to help you see yourself through the worst moments of Life. I am speaking the truth as I have come to learn of it lately. He is better than all that! Peace and Blessings to you all. Timothy.

Niels,
God is forming you into the image of His Son and He has given you power by His Spirit to overcome. Don’t believe what the enemy is telling you and trying to get you to quit. You are all things in Christ, you really are!, please believe this promise. If satan can put doubt and unbelief in your mind, he’ll have you focusing on fear, but God say’s Love cast out fear. Lean not on your own understanding but on every word of the bible for this is the mouth of God. I will intercede on your behalf for God to show you what He want’s and for you to have piece with His decision and direction. Hang in there you are not alone!.

Amen!! I have a similar story. All old has passed away and all new has begun in Christ. It was very difficult to die to self in the beginning, not from rebellion as much as not understanding what Christ really wanted. It wasn’t until I stopped looking back and stayed focused on the strait and narrow path that I heard from Christ. The Lord had to put me in the desert all alone so He alone could teach me. It has been a very painful and lonely journey but I would not take one day away from Christ in the desert than a thousand days without Him elsewhere.
