Chip, I see, moving forward is just that, wether I move forward a little or a lot, I am still with Him, and He is the one that is increasing in all thing, not me. Along with John 3:30. I’m reminded of 2 Corinthians 1:20″For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” God is God and can be trusted with His own work. Thanks for sharing, this helped me.

Hey Chip!

I thought you had posted twice the same thing… but no…

In fact, I just started reading this night chapter 5 of this book… So the chapter is in study … yes, I have to not only decipher the French, but take notes… think to the practice etc. It takes a lot of time and energy. But after each reading I understand a little better… and it amazes me.
It is so wonderful to see a little light at the end of the tunnel…

Yes AMEN, He must increase and I MUST decrease! I MUST decrease…this can be done by His grace, but I have to allow Him to do HIS job not my evil desires.

Yes Chip, Oftentimes, God IS moving forward while the Modern Churches of today are still stuck in the past of their traditions and their own mindsets. I ask: Am I moving ahead too? Am I ready to be used by God? or do I let stagnation settle in and remain content with the “business as usual” attitude that I see them embracing? Jesus is calling me to a higher commitment, a deeper relationship than previously. Do I stay where I feel safe and comfortable? or do I risk everything to “step outside the boat, and onto the water”? Sure, I see the risk involved in a deeper walk with Him. But I know that “that old boat looks likes it’s sinking all the same”. To jump into another boat would be so easy; yet it’s on the same rocky waves! I choose to walk towards Jesus Christ; knowing that He will keep me above those waters. And He will sustain me in those storms of Life; so I trust in Him.

Thank you Chip,this powerful word ” He must Increase ” my hearts desire .The words of this song comes to mind,Through this world of toils and snares,if i falter Lord who cares,who with me my burden share none but thee dear Lord none but thee. ” in the world we shall have tribulation,but be of good cheer,for I have overcome the world ” Of cause we shall all face life making right or wrong choices,opportunitys, ” He Must Increase ” I understand today,life is not perfect GOD is. He is my hearts desire everyday and night,which is why i am building this good night habit, hanging out with PAPA. before i go to sleep,and when i miss my time its OK! As I pondered today’s post, I was reminded just how vital I’ve always believed this scripture is to the Christian life, My next thought was, “But things are so hard right now…” Honestly,for a few years I’ve been struggling with many significant life changes; I’ve been separated from the group of believers I’d been fellowshiping with. Plus truth be told, I’ve been feeling a disconnect with the Lord. But then I remembered John 3:30 “He must increase, but I must decrease.” The Lord’s ways are not my ways are not my ways-I don’t see the way he does. he will have His way, regardless of my intrusion. There was a glimmer of hope and reminder that He is increasing while I am decreasing…
