I share this because I see that I can better hear those phrases that returns me to my suffering there not so long… (although I still have to deal with those words and their application).
And I already want to share the blessings I have received through your teachings… but for example, two or three of my relationships are still in this extreme suffering…
So, at the same time I know I cannot just say this sentence to some of my relationship … they do not understand and do not bear these words… the reaction may be to just collapse into tears… or insult people who dare to say these things without knowing us and without knowing the depths of the suffering that has been known by us…

I do not know what think about this… but… Yes, it is probably necessary to first ensure to be spiritual… that is not run by the flesh… otherwise we will soon be exhausted… It is essential ensure that prayer is according to His will… (especially what about us).

I know several people like me for whose that’s not really a question of lack of time… It is a total exhaustion of the spirit, soul and body… and therefore not even being able to imagine how it works with the support and the strength of God to do that…

To ensure that prayer is according to His will … (especially for us); because for some things we pray for over 30 years … and I just give up certain prayers which at the time of my life no longer seem to be no reason to be answered …

So when “Christian churches” said to us: «Keep asking. Keep seeking. Keep knocking. Never give up…» We replied: “No!! We cannot any more!!!”. Some cry, others insult those who can express it…

Chip, Thanks, again. In our congregation many think that individual pray is what counts. I know that this is important, in fact critical, as you state in todays devotion. But how does congregational prayer fit into this teaching? We have two people come to our Tuesday prayer time from our congregation–my wife and myself. Most think it is okay because “we pray at home”.
I would love to hear what you think on this aspect of prayer.

Prevailing prayer, hmmm!
I got to thinking about the Muslim five-times-a-day prayer times and about Watchman Nee’s Latent Power of the Soul in which he warns about the massed power-of-the-Muslim-souls and their ongoing prayer. All that puts me to shame, but I know that Jesus Christ is the only One who Prevails, and his Presence within me is strong when I am weak.

I just did a quick look-up of the dictionary meaning of ‘prevail.’ Be stronger: to prove to be stronger and in position of greater influence and power.
win thru: to prove to be effective. predominate: to predominate or be the most common or frequent. (triumph,succeed, be victorious, overcome, conquer)

I have found in my own life if I let my guard down or coast (taking a little vacation) from my prayer life or reading the Word, I can see where I can come out defeated by the things around me or overcome by my circumstances surrounding me or just becoming lax with things I normally would not be. Yes, prevailing prayer and continually feeding on His Word our Bread of Life is not to be taken lightly or be an occasional thing but a constant thing. I will then be in that ‘position’ of greater influence and power in my life because “greater is He who is in me than he that is in the world.” Thanks for all these nuggets of truth Chip.
