Good morning

When we talk about the cross to certain believers it is viewed as tree. It is very interesting to me that mankind lost his intimacy with God at a tree (the tree of the knowledge of good and evil) and that intimacy was restored at a tree (the cross). This also makes the cross the tree of life. Until we face the cross, it is then and only then that we begin to experience what true life really is. Because until that happens we are DEAD to trespasses and sin.

Jesus tells us that He came that we might have life and have it abundantly. Some people have taken that to mean that God is a big sugar daddy and will give us what ever we desire materialistically. To me it means that we can have a life that is free of the domination of a sinful nature and walk freely in the attributes of God.

Some scholars think that both of these trees were of the same species of wood.
