Jesus promised that He will give you Rest, all I have to do is to accept His offer. He said take my Yoke upon you. When we share the Yoke with Him. We are together were ever we go, including the Valley of Death. But never forget, The Kingdom of God is suffering violence and the men of violence take it by Force AND it is a fearful thing to fall in the Hands of Living God.

These messages almost always speak to me. Today’s is so appropriate. I have tolerated my husbands bullying for years, brought about my the heavy submission teaching in our church. I think that made him into a bully. Today I realised that it is my unrecognised smouldering anger that has done more damage to the family because I couldn’t front up to him and say stop.

In the place where I am right now, in a situation where death is the only thing which will carry me through into a place of new beginnings, this post is a prophetic encouragement to set my face like flint. I will pray for the suffering that has been expressed. You are precious in the sight of God and He only wants His best for you, and for me. Today’s message is most powerful and helpful in the times of today and with the world that we have to live in. But when our suffering is in our own household with every measure of suffering there could be, it does make us more desperate for our Savior and His grace and mercy. I have come to realize that when I look to self and what self can do to fix the issues in my life, whether it’s for myself or another in my household is when nothing good seems to happen, only worry and fear happens. But when I pray and trust and believe God at His word to do within me what’s needed for a break through or acceptance of circumstances is when I since His power and love more than ever. We just have to let go, as hard as it is, and let Him be God in our life, He knows what it’s going to take for each one of us to pick up our own cross. The weaker we are in life is when God is stronger and will go before us, with us or behind us or all 3 if need be. You are not alone as long as you have Him.

Yes, I truly believe that God’s promise not to leave nor forsake us is very, very true. I have experienced this many times already when having a problem. I can feel that God really is with me helping me solve a problem, God guides us and makes a way for us . So, why be afraid when we’re in the dark, God lights our way, Amen! Glory to God!

to Richard in Florida,

if you truly are a born again Christian and indeed really surrender all to Him, He will do all that is necessary Himself. Four years ago my ex-husband divorced me and our children after we had been together for 17 years. I then assumed he was a true Christian from the heart but he left us after Jesus spoke to my heart to leave the congregation we attended at that time because all what we were doing was not to honour Him but rather men. Jesus simply said to me: ‘I don’t know what you are doing, but I never told any of you to do the things you do week after week, month after month!’ At first I thought I was loosing my mind, but I kept on praying and after a while the Lord confirmed through many situations but mainly His written Word that He wanted us to choose a totally other direction. Away from all that we were taught so far in organized religious church services.
My ex-husband didn’t believe me because I later found out he actually never believed Jesus…although he could pray like he was a pastor himself, was baptized and asked me to marry him because God ‘showed’ him He sent me to become his wife…
I now know from first hand experience that without Him we CAN’T do nothing, and all Jesus is asking is that we keep on asking Him to fullfill His plan!
I’m now out of organized Religion, a divorced single mother, I no longer see any of the former ‘brothers and sisters’, I sometimes feel so lonely but I know I am and have everything in Jesus.
So, Richard, I hope you really prepare yourself for one of the worst storms in your life to come but never let (Him) go…

This is so true, my first husband who is now with Jesus lived this life before me. In fact in the first few months of our marriage, he wasn’t sure if he really married a believer because I lived for SELF only. Everything was ALL ABOUT me. He demonstrated before me that it is only when you life for OTHERS and lay your life down for the sake of others, then you truly exude the fragrance of heaven. He even brought home the movie called THE ABYSS to illustrate dying to live. We must die to the things of this world, to self, so the life of Christ can be seen in us. If HE be lifted up in the earth He will draw all men unto HIM. The grain of wheat has to die in order to live and produce fruit. The Alabaster box had to be BROKEN so the fragrance could come forth, the gold must go through the refiner’s fire to burn out the impurities so the brilliant gold can shine. A diamond is just a piece of coal that has been made good under PRESSURE. When we are squeezed, let us embrace the cross and exchange our cross for His peace, His Joy, His provision. There is no life apart from the JESUS. Let’s cling to HIM so we can ride out the storms of life victoriously

Brother Chip,

Your message today is truely prophetic. Today I faced for the first time that after 11 years, my marriage truely is dead. For years i have tried to point my wife to Jesus as the only hope for us. She will have none of it. We have been separated for 3 years now. Today I faced that we either must bury it or call on Jesus to raise it from the dead. I want to truely surrender our lives and marriage to follow Jesus, but she has to decide for herself who she will serve…Jesus or self. I’m walking that valley you spoke about.
