Indeed, ministering unto the Lord is Gods call to His new covenant priesthood, Kingdom of priests! Ministering unto the Lord is our first ministry and ultimate destiny. It’s the best kept secret of the Christian life. God delivered me from a 16 year crack addiction while ministering to Him for many many hours a day for months; ALL to His glory and exaltation. I was homeless and had “nothing” but I really had/ have everything when we are with Him in my our inner room of our temple. I did not ask God for a thing but He then gave me much much more than I could have ever imagined; including a Christ centered wife who loves me deeply. We all need daily reminders to continue prioritizing quality extended time with and for our Savior. The way I read Scripture ministering unto the Lord begins in Genesis and runs through Revelation!

Before I had moments alone worshiping God in my living room … but constantly came back in my head: “You have taken a good time and pleasure in that … You have wasted your time … now you did not serve the Lord with the good works he wanted you to do…”
But also you invited us to waste our time…

Maybe my conception of “serving the Lord” is not yet correct… And is it evil and selfish to worship him… I mean to take pleasure in it and that it does us good? Now I do not do it anymore as before. I just thank God…

Not just the Written Word; but upon Him as the Living Word. Not, so as to be in a certain place, to satisfy those who seek my “perfect attendance record”. But to contemplate and ponder Him and His instruction daily. To dwell in my thoughts upon Him constantly. And then to intend and plan my day upon what He tells me in guidance and direction. This is how He has answered my prayer. By expecting me to continue coming to Him. The fullness of His Spirit will then minister to my needs as I look intently towards Him. Thank You Lord Jesus. I surrender myself to you.

Maybe this, is my Bethany place. His word to me. I want His baptism with the Holy Spirit and Fire. Other’s are pulling at me from all different directions. But I only want to be with Him; fully surrendered at His feet. This is hard. They say: “Why not join this Church? I have just what you are looking for.” Really?! Do you know me truly as only He does? Do you have assess to pouring out of the Holy Spirit “at will”? I DON”T THINK SO! Lord, I want you so deeply with all my heart. But I am stubborn and afraid to give it all up and just “die to Self”. You know this. Yet, I am now willing. Please help me to trust completely in You. I am not alone in this, for You are with me each step of the way. Show me what You would have me to do, and how You would have me to live. Forgive me, as only you can. Then use me, in whatever way you wish. Please give me of Your strength and power. Come to me now and answer this prayer. In Your name I ask of this. Amen. Thank you for hearing my prayer.
