At time we do feel and think that we are inadequate to do what He wants. All that He requires from us is the willingness to obey , our taking the first step and leaving the result or outcome to Him. I sincerely think that if the widow whose sons were about to be taken away by creditors for the debt her husband owed had sat down to ponder on what the prophet had asked her to do she would never have received the miracle that she did.

Remember, ALL HE WANTS FROM US IS OUR WILLINGNESS AND PROMPT OBEDIENCE TO HIS VOICE.

Thanks for this mornings lesson. We must allow God to live His life thru us “living the replaced” life. “I no longer live, I have been crucified and Christ lives in me.” You are so right that there is no lack of supply in the Lord, He just needs willing vessels. He pours into a yielded vessel and fills us but we must pour out onto others . Our vessels have to be emptied of ourselves ( our will, ways, desires, etc.) and be filled with Him and as we pour out onto others we can be filled again. Those we pour out on can be filled and they can give Bread to others. May we all be that yielded willing vessel and be His Light in the world.

The pride of the Pharisee that they know plenty or are very knowledgeable and the pride of not wanting to submit to someone greater than ourselves. Neither will accomplish anything. Like you have reminded us, being willing is all the Lord requires. This willingness releases any thought in our minds that we can do anything we want when we want. We know the Oil is the Holy Spirit and we have to keep being filled with His presence, like a lamp or furnace is filled with oil and is kept with plenty so there will be light, water, power and warmth. The Lord has made His word to fit our daily lives so that there is complete understanding. To the body of Christ the Oil gives the Light, Water, Power, and Warmth which are all elements of Jesus, Who is the Living Word of God.
