Donna Abrams, your post reminded me of a time long ago when I was a young teen (14 I believe at the time it happened)

I had a girlfriend staying the night and we were in bed talking and suddenly, we looked up in the right hand corner (Or I did)

and it was like Jesus in a long white robe and trouble is, we got scared and yet this spiritual presence was peaceful, calm.

To this day, wish I hadn’t been scared and wonder why the visit unless it was because we were having some family issues

around that time, but never saw this image ever again, now I wish I’d have stayed to find out why. I wish to spend time now with

Jesus daily and would like a relationship with Him also.

This post reminded me of a vision I had in the 80″s. I was not doing anything “spiritual”…just carrying a basket of laundry to the utility room. I remember the exact spot by my dining room table. I saw Jesus, not a front view, but a side view barely seeing any of his left cheek. He had on a long flowing robe with material draped across the front of his collar bones and hanging down to the floor. I can’t say he was huge but the people where so small who were all in the folds of his draping garments. There were too many people to even begin to count. They were shouting, singing, praising God, hands in the air, rejoicing but what struck me was no one was actually touching Him, only the things about Him. I said to him,” I want to see your face.” He did not speak but I knew his reply in my spirit without words. He said, “No man can look on God and live. It will cost you everything.” I believe this “knowing him” is the meaning in Revelation of…I counsel thee to buy of me GOLD tried in the fire. We can go as deep into God as we have a heart willing to travel. Blessings on you and yours, Brother Chip.

I think (and this is my personal opinion) that we too often go to the Lord asking instead of praising and listening. I was told one time that the first letter in pray was p which means we are to praise Him first for who He is and all that he has done, is doing and will do for us without us pressing Him to do it. He wants to have a relationship with us! Can you imagine the Heavenly Father, the Lord Jesus Christ, who has all power, all being wanting to have a relationship with me? And He does-how marvelous and how glorious that the One who spoke the world and all that is here into existence, knew us before we were formed in our mother’s womb wanting and waiting for us to build a relationship with Him. We should be so ready to spend every moment possible building our relationship with Him. If we are so willing to build relationships with the people we care for and give them our time, how much more should we be willing to spend time with Him so the relationship can build and build? This message today really spoke to my heart and Chip thank you for stirring my heart with Jesus in your message today.

Oh that we might deny ourselves those things we want that He might be all in all, that He might be preeminent. That over our image His image might come forth for the world to see. that we might be the poured out wine of His Love, Joy and Peace that the world might see Him and want Him.

I’m sure it’s Ok to press him in time of need because he said to cast all our cares upon him, but then there’s that time when I just want to press him to be near him and hear his voice and experience his presence. There is no greater place for me than to be there at that place with him separating myself apart from this busy mental and physical world. Learning to love him more than anything in this world is one of the key things I had to learn to understand him better. There is no greater love we will ever find in this world other than finding how much he loves us and that he continues to loves us despite our human errors.
