Faith? Some people may say: "Seeing is believing!". No, I think rather, believing is seeing what others fail to acknowledge because they think they have it all understood. It takes more to believe, despite the evidence of your senses, or when everything is going contrary to your wishes, than it does to weakly accept something (like somebody walking on the Moon) just because somebody tells you it is the Truth. Faith in God does not come through strange visions or mysteries understood. It comes in absolute stillness and assurance, beyond self, where you come to know God as He is. And then but as a feeling that is undeniable and unshakable. Yet He is there. Yet He does hear. Yet He does answer. When you need Him, by Faith, He is there. Even if you deny Him, He is there. Even in your fears, He is there. Even in your pain, He is there. He is there when you pray and when you do not pray. Though we may fail to find God due to unbelief, He does not fail to find us or support us. Though our faith in Him is unsure, His faith in us, His children, never wavers, because He knows us, because He loves us. Yes, He is always there. Faith is our strength when fear tries to overwhelm us. But He is "Faithful" all the same. Thank Him for that always.

In reply to <a href="https://theschoolofchrist.org/february22#comment-3597">Brenda Brown</a>.

I have 4 adult children. What I see, hear and perceive makes it easy to think they'll never come to faith in Jesus as Savior and Lord. I can't allow myself to think like that. I know God as the God of the impossible and that forges my faith on, keeps me waiting and believing on Him.

We hear many people today claiming that this person or that is a "man of faith", and they may well be! But in what? - Allah? Buddha? Krishna? Zeus?.....self? Unless we have faith ONLY in Jehovah, the God of the Bible, our faith is in vain. Today we are exhorted to have faith in ourselves....doesn't Joel Osteen teach this too? But Scripture teaches us to have NO faith in self, but to trust GOD only. We must feed that faith in God daily - each day leaning more and more on the everlasting arms....and as we do, our faith becomes like a tree with many branches, and roots that go deep into the rock and are watered by the river of life that flows from the throne of God. That faith becomes a wellspring of JOY within us as God's reality becomes moment by moment embedded in our hearts and minds as we step out not into the unknown but the reality of HIM. Hallelujah!

You really do think you know about a topic until you are asked, then you begin with eehhmm! eehhmm! You begin to wonder, what gave you the impression that you knew it all along?
That is the danger in assumption of knowing and that is why we fall short of truth.
When those things get challenged, we search out the truth, we get well grounded in it and it works for us. Same with the issue of Faith. It looks and sound abstract at first then when our understanding of God becomes fruitful, then we learn to trust, believe and see God the way He is.
Hebrew 11 tells us what Faith is and exploits of Faith when we check out family album.

I used to think that faith and doubt were thrown into the arena together and which ever was stronger came out the victor. The Lord showed me that He simply cast satan behind His back in total disregard. When we totally disregard doubt we only need a muster seed sized faith to move a mountain. Remember Jesus said "doubt not, ONLY believe." The key word in this statement is ONLY. When His faith is the only resident within us, we shall surely do the works He has ordained us to do.

"Hebrews 11v 6, But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that "He is", and that He reward's those who "diligently seek Him".
Faith is obedience to God who gave His Son for us. Nothing will come unless faith comes first because faith takes care of unbelief. Our spiritual eyes will see faith, just as our physical eyes will see the natural. But in the end will the Son of Man find faith on the earth? When all else is gone and everything seems to crumble around us our faith is all we really have left and our faith will help us to move mountains.
