Excellent teaching. Keep it up. It was very encouraging to me. I also noted a similar issue with churches both traditional and house but also noted they would twist the Scriptures often and ignore many Scriptures. I have often felt isolated even in churches and have been staying away from them. I left because of the corruption and the inability of leadership to see they were often the cause of discord and division. It is not an easy road and indeed it is very difficult to walk and it is easy to feel down. I am grateful to read some of your teachings and listen from time to time and to know I am not alone in seeing these things. Please stay encouraged yourself and know there are many of us who though we not often say it greatly appreciate these.

I used to beat myself up because I had such hatred for sins in those close to me. I was not judging the person but the sins of darkness. The more I am nearer to Christ the stronger my hate is to these sins, in loved ones including myself. The Lord helped me to see there is a separation of the spirits and the two will always be in conflict. I learned the fruit of the Spirit was indeed of Christ and the fruits of darkness that will never inter into His kingdom were the fruits or the sins that God hates. When we are to rightly judge the spirits to see who is of Christ and who is not, the difference of these two spirits is our measuring stick. We are to first search our own heart to see if there is any wicked ways about ourselves based on the fruits of Gods Spirit that’s Christ and then we are to hate the very sin that put Jesus on the cross and in the grave. The closer we walk with Christ, the more we will hate the fruits of darkness and to flee from those who refuse repentance and redemption and reconciliation with Christ. Jesus says to flee from sin lest we become the very sin we are around and we become like the ones whom openly are in darkness to their own sin. Depending who our family and friends are and whom they follow, we may have to flee the very people we love if they continue in their sin after hearing the Truth of the Gospel. This will truly be a very hard battle to bare. This is what I call loving and praying for people from a distance. This is where we will surely have to let the Lord lead our very steps as to not fall and stumble into darkness ourselves.

Thank you AGAIN, Chip.
I have been going through a bunch of what you are talking about these last few weeks, taking in and helping a chronic addict to come out of addiction, stop loving and serving self, and to turn her life over to Jesus. I have hated the sin, and the attitudes, the self-centeredness, and longed for her to be free. I hate the demons that have held her captive for SO many years, and taught her so well to lie and deceive……I love this dear woman, but if I did not hate what Satan has done in her life and the lives of her “friends”. However, my priority is to love the LORD, and like He was with the rich young ruler who turned away from Him and left, I will not chase after her if she chooses to hang on to the “junk” in her life that held her captive for so long. She must ALSO come to hate it as much as He does, and love Him more than the darkness and death that controlled her life….so He can set her free indeed.
Thank you for this teaching, and for the truth. Thank you always for the courage to present the HARD Word, sharing what God reveals to you with us. I know that there are those who HEAR hard words – don’t LIKE them, and will turn away, as they did when Jesus was among us teaching. I pray for those who WILL receive them, lay down their lives and live for Him alone. He MUST increase and we MUST decrease. Amen.
