I appreciate your write-ups. I believe God is committed to saving all mankind after all His judgements. My question is: does Hebrews 2:8 refer to man or Jesus? Most translations seem to refer to the former.

Praise The Lord Jesus and thank you for your obedience. I am I. Agreement with you Brother Chip. I have been in the religious system since 2000 but it was in 2006 when I had my encounter with Jesus and it was not in the religious system. When the scales were removed from my eyes, I literraly saw Jesus and myself as only Jesus could show me. I had no idea about the Holy Spirit nor did I know the Word of God. Now I preach teach evangelize Jesus and proclaim the Good News that saves my life daily. The work is not done and so many are in bondage and are being lied to by those who follow the religious system. Tradition man made rules and the power and money driven Hollywood entertaining messages are destroying people daily. Seek ye the Kingdom of GOD and His righteousness. Please continue to teach what God has called you to teach and many more will be saved. God Bless you all!!!

A very good question, I think. I’ve been puzzling over the whole notion of grace and it can be viewed like so many other things within Christianity from two opposing points of view. This frazzles my brain and I come back to acknowledging Jesus as my Saviour and Lord, seeking Him for what’s happening at the moment and letting go all the teaching about an issue such as grace that has me distracted, mixed up and perturbed. ‘My grace is sufficient for you’ means ‘I, the Lord am your provider, not some system called grace.’ Going into everyday with Jesus who never leaves us or forsakes us is so much better than focusing on any issue, grace, or timidity, or whatever that fries the brain and makes for self-centredness. We can’t manifest Christ when we’re all tied up in knots, wondering about this or that. A steady conversation with the Lord throughout the day helps me to overcome preoccupation with self and a stewed brain! God bless you Sherry, and thank you Chip and Carla for all that you’ve spoken into my life – such as,WWJD. not what would Jesus do but WATCH WHAT JESUS DOES!

Praise the Lord in all His glory!!!!!!!
When reading your message based on the scripture and you mentioned that we have the ability to exercise power and authority over the enemy, what would this consist of? I’m not sure but I believe I have a gift to be a worker for the Lord, but I don’t want to be a name it claim it person. There is so much going wrong with religion and different denominations that I’m not sure if God still gives spiritual gifts. I have been led several times to lay hands and to pray over people, where the Lord gave me a name and directions of what He wanted, I have obeyed and went and have seen miracles take place, but I’m a person that is very reserved and I do not like attention, so there have been times that I have not done what I sensed the Lord wanted me to do because I just don’t quite understand if it’s the Lord working through me or if its my desire? You may can give me some answers.

We have been created and called to manifest the finished work of Christ. He IS our victory. We need not to struggle to attain it because it is found in Him .Our life, on earth, is to move “out of” His accomplished victory. To fight to obtain victory is to already admit defeat. We walk “from a position of victory” not in order to secure that victory. The battle against principalities is NOT to secure victory for ourselves but to move “out of” His finished victory now. The true battle is not fighting but “standing” in the finished work of the cross, accomplished for us before the foundation of the world. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, ours or anyone elses, but the battle is to believe what the Word of God proclaims that we are NOW “more than conquerors in Christ.” We, as the church, do not see the manifestation of victory because we are still battling to get it. As we walk out of His finished victory we and the world will see satan and his demons as they truly are…defeated. 1 John 5:4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world — our faith.
The only thing that can defeat us now is unbelief in the Word and Spirit of Jesus Christ!!

yea ive been a Christian for 38 years and by experience ive learned to simply depend on gods leading in my life and not to trust in my own wisdom no matter what my own opinions–to my understanding about life since coming into the new creation life with Christ I look at the story in genesis chapter one to three as the essence of all wisdom–god does not want humans to reach out for their own wisdom by the tree of knowledge but to take in the tree of life(divine life)and live by his wisdom.
