1 Peter 3:18-22 ESV For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit, (19) in which he went and proclaimed to the spirits in prison, (20) because they formerly did not obey, when God’s patience waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through water. (21) Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, (22) who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities, and powers having been subjected to him.

This article made me think of this passage. Instead of a jet I saw the ark. Praise God! Jesus is my ark and He has brought me to the top of a mountain. He has seated me with Himself in heavenly places. In the “Ark”… hmmmm how sweet He is.

Very interesting and full of mystery, how these things can be linked into communion with Christ. That is our God whose design is difficult to understand the human mind, but all his plans as to the meaning of the Truth of God. I believe it was not for the human understanding the meaning of communion with Christ is acceptable but larger role than it is the Spirit of truth who will lead us to accept it. It all also been applied to me, not because of my desire and power, but all for the love of God to man. I really admire what Paul said (Galatians 2:20) which emphasize the identity or a new creation in Christ, this is for our consciousness may be growing up to understanding communion in Christ.

Thank you Chip for explaining tom me something which I have found very difficult to understand – what it really means to be in Christ Jesus. I now know I don’t have to do anything except reamin in Him, and to give Him the pre-emminence and the increase in my life. I kept thinking that I should know physically that I am in Christ Jesus, but that is not what you said – I am in Christ because God says so. It is so wonderful it is truly hard to fully comprehend.

Only when I began to understand my identity in Christ did I experience any victory in life. I am no longer a christian that has to try to when approval from God. I am accepted because of who I am in Christ. As a new creature I now have a new nature. The old nature is dead. I now identify with Christ. God sees me has perfect because of what Christ did for me on the cross. I do still sin. But that is not the true me. Sin still is in this old body, but I do not have to identify with it. One day it to will be free and new also. My life now measures up. This is not what I say, but what the Lord says.

As you said, “As long as we remain in Christ, our destinies are linked.” Our destiny is God’s destiny, CHRIST! As all the passengers of the plane came to the same destiny, so once God has put us into Christ, He can become all to us. Whatever He is, whatever He has, becomes ours in Him. God does not give us many things, He only gives us Christ. Christ is all and in all, and every spiritual blessing is IN HIM! IN HIM dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and we are made complete IN HIM! This little phrase “in Christ” is referred to over one hundred sixty times in the New Testament. It is so refreshing, brother, when you share Christ as the center, because He is God’s center! May your ministry reveal more and more of the riches of Christ to His Body! In Christ I thank you!
