This writing was the essence of our study this morning. Thank you! The Holy Spirit lead us to St. John 17 as a foundation for your thoughts, followed by listening to a favorite song of ours…Jesus, All For Jesus by Robin Mark. Again, thanks for lending yourself to the Lord. We love the simplicity of the Gospel.

This right here is exactly what I am really trying to focus on – “Love God – Love your neighbor”
Simplistic sounding ? Maybe but I will speak for myself when I say – impossible for me without Christ & Im actually a pretty nice person.
I’m so sick of all the back & forth rhetoric of so many different sides – just love God & your neighbor that’s hard enough

Yes Jesus is Enough. If Jesus is not enough for our unfilled…never filled inner beings, the Soul, who else can fill it. Saints It is only JESUS who can fill the vacant portion of our souls and fills us with joy and everlasting peace.
You know you can’t get such words from anyone unless that person has a real encounter with HIM. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Yes I KNOW that Jesus is enough–how do I know? I have come to a point in my experiences with Him that He knows how to make the right decisions for my life a gadzillion more times than I do.

This was great article — I needed this long ago — as I was confused by all this “works” stuff — until I finally understand the truth about salvation – a free gift from the Lord –
by grace through faith – not by works —

“I have learned that stress, strife, disillusionment, dissatisfaction, bitterness, anger,
hurt, misunderstanding, and confusion comes from everything said and done by religious people ABOUT the Lord, and IN THE NAME of the Lord, that does not, in fact, have anything to do with Jesus Himself. ”

How true that is — I certainly experienced this — not yet knowing the difference between religion and relationship —

AND —
“You are called to be with Jesus. That is your calling. That is the primary thing, the highest ministry….. before Jesus said, “Go into all the world” He said, “Be with Me.”

“The call of the Lord is not more important than the Lord of the call. The work of the Lord must not replace the Lord of the work. No amount of ministering FOR the Lord will make up for a lack of ministering TO the Lord. And knowing the Word of God does not necessarily mean that we know the God of the Word.”

THIS — certainly deserves repeating — I never heard this in the majority of churches
I have attended — the “works” seemed to always come first — what are you doing for
the Lord ? — means what are you doing for the “church” ? — this article is certainly eye opening — and sets one free — “TO BE WITH THE LORD” — it took me a while to understand this — “in my lightning fast mind” — but when I turned to learning from
the LORD — not from man — I finally got it straight — and I appreciate the many comments — they are excellent — and timely — to keep us in proper alignment with
the Lord Jesus — to know HIM —

Ojedokun — that was beautiful — and well said — a truth and reality that few people ever reach — God gave us Christ – He gave His best — He gave the Holy Spirit – He gave His all — how much more could He give ??? Christ did it all — so we could have a way back to the
Father — now — what can we do for Him ?? We can in turn — give Him our ALL !!
He is ever faithful — can we do – or be – less ?? Thank you for that word —

Hi Chip a very timely word for me. Welcome and appreciated prayer support from this community as I lay my life, thoughts, reasoning down for the Father’said heart and mind to become enough and everything to me.
My Father says come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. How foolish my flesh to resist His rest.

Yes. 🙂 I think I’m in a period that is turning the corner and I begin to see well this, and I am trying to rectify things on this matter in the practice… not in all my life, since my bad health dismissed me things, moved me away from things of the life, even things about Jesus…

but I actually research how, in practice, I can apply it in small essential things of everyday life; and especially in my thoughts where I try to seize that I remain still frustrated not being able to “serve” the Lord as the others “churches” do. Yes, I believe that I am always disappointed and unsatisfied of my walking with the Lord today. Yes I look for this: «What it is like to hear His Voice, to be so filled with passion and love for Him, that I not wish anything else than to sit at His feet, and hear His Word…»

Oh My, this article was exactly what I needed to hear today June 26, 2016. I’ve been asking Holy Spirit about coming away with Him as it states in the Song of Songs. This question: Is Jesus enough? has triggered my next step in Him. The Holy Spirit has brought me to the place of no longer being a Martha and now it’s time to be a Mary and sit at His feet. I am excited about my next adventure With Him, ministering to Him, meeting His needs. If He ever wants to send me out to do His will, He will launch me out in His timing. In the meantime feet sitting is my next assignment. Thank you Chip for these words. Freeing for me.
