Perez, I think part of the answer is that Jesus is ALIVE, and so HE is the Head of His Body, the church. Eph 4:15. Paul made that statement after talking about the same gifts spoken of in 1 Cor 12:28. He may not be here physically be he reigns in power non the less. 1 Cor 15:25
I think the opportunity for us is simply to live the way Jesus lived (not doing anything we don’t see the Father doing and not saying anything the we don’t hear Him saying). If we do that, our gifts will be expressed, and the sheep hearing the sheperd’s voice will be drawn to Jesus, not to us. We become less and HE becomes greater. The Father is sooooo smart to set it up this way isn’t He?!

How can you preach there is no sin only behaviors when the Word of God not only reveals sin through His Word but gives instruction as to what sin is in our life. The concept of true grace and mercy is depleted in its promise due to justification and satisfaction of self. I found that the revelation of Jesus was, is and continues to be missing from the hearers and doers of the Word. Then I read your revelation and knew immediately what God was showing me had been confirmed.

Where is Jesus preached? As part of the intercessory team, a teacher, a minister, and most importantly a servant of and to God, it saddens me to see that Jesus is not the head of the church but a conduit to get stuff and things and that man has replaced God on the throne and Jesus is only a slave servant to the needs of the people.

It is my deepest desire that Jesus is revealed to us in a way that only Jesus can make happen. Without the revelation of Jesus, we fail to know the true significance of our being.

I joined the Jesus church 35 years ago when I had an encounter with Jesus which turned my world upside down. Not only did I know that God was real…I lived in a constant awareness of His presence and His love for me. I spent my early years fellowshipping with a group of christians who called themselves “the invisible church” They were radically in love with Jesus and we each seemed to have a close walk with God.

Then I encountered ‘churchianity’…where the ‘pastor’ claimed to be the ‘anointed man of God’….who would hear from God for me. In no time I felt isolated from God…part of a system instead of a family.

But then one day a few years ago I heard the voice of my Father again. I am now free from the religious deceptions and control spirits that pervade the modern institutions who claim to be THE church. I am free of those ‘who seek to draw away disciples after themselves’

All that matters now is KNOWING Him and His love for me…and the world …and sharing that with whoever I can.

Now, I liked the Pastor he was a great guy.
He was a good Pastor too.
Everyone thought highly of him as well.

I went to their “Membership Class”.

Where this Pastor informed everyone at ‘The Class’ that members had to be on his agendas.
Because him and Jesus is The Head of that Church.

Needless to say, I did not become ‘a member’.
To make the situation even worse he went on to say:

“Now this doesn’t mean this is a Two Headed Body.”

I thought, how sad.
Yes, that is exactly what it does mean to me.

Within less than a year he was gone, and the Church was seeking a new Pastor.

I truly don’t even think that body knew why.
