Thank you for reminding me who I am in Christ.My weakness is coming forth in my unbelief.”Lord forgive me for my unbelief”!I for one do not deminish the power of Satan,but I have to realize he is a defeated foe.”No greater power than Christ in me”.Thank you Lord for my tear’s of hope streaming down my face.Mario my prayer for my son everyday is rebuking Satan away from my household and praying God will give my son ears to hear and eyes to see His truth and to see Christ for who He is and what He came to do.Thank you for listening to my burden.Thank you again for your words of encouragement,they have taken root in my soul.

First of all, I believe that we cannot conform to the image of Christ. Instead, we are being conformed. All we must do is DAILY surrender, and then the Holy Spirit will do His perfect work in and through us.
One problem I have noticed is that we never, in a correct, Biblical manner, learn about our enemy and the battles (yes, plural) we are in. People either lift the devil unto a place where he is almost equal with God, or they belittle his power and influence, which renders them unprotected. As always, balance is the key! The first battle is between the spirit and the flesh. Just because we have become Christians doesn’t mean we have resigned from humanity.
” For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh, so that you cannot do the right thing you want to do.”(Gal.5) Then there are the numerous Scriptures clearly showing and WARNING! us that satan is real, that he is powerful and full of wisdom, and that we must protect ourselves. (Ezekiel 28; Rev.12;Eph.6) Even the Apostle Paul was hindered by the devil.
“Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, but Satan hindered us.” (1Thes.2) In Rev. 12 we read that the devil has come to “make war with those who have the testimony of Jesus Christ”. Yes, satan is powerful, but God is in charge. Therefore, with confidence we say that, “greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world! The most powerful weapon is to, by faith, stand firm on Jesus and God’s Word! Pray that the Lord will take the veil from your son’s eyes, and then believe that He will do it in HIS time! This is His promise to us, that He will do whatever we ask in His Name according to His will. Is it His will that your son walks with Him? You bet it is!

Sherry, even tho the situation with your son is very difficult, you can leave it to Jesus who loves him even more than you do. Jesus is trustworthy. Entrust him to Him.
