Yes. I would like… But it is still mystery for me. In front of injustice, lying, bad faith, dishonesty, manipulation… which demonstrated the others… I do not have time to say myself: Well, I am going to stand back, step back and to try to trust God.

Generally, my blood makes only a tour and I react very strongly (at least inside). Somewhere… fortunately I am all alone and blocked at my home… I almost never meet anybody. It avoids my total self-destruction… 🙂 ; and the advantage with the computer, I can come back later on my first reaction … which is a first step I think.

This is the perfect word for me at this time in my life, for it is what I am going through. It’s been very difficult and exhausting, especially on my emotions, and I live with that person, my husband. But, prayed fresh and anew this morning. And then saw this message in my email! God is good.

Thank you, Sherry. We will try to remember you and your family in our prayers. Allow me to share the following from my own experience… Fruit never grows on mountaintops, it always grows in the valleys. The Lord is with us in the valleys, which He uses to shape us into the image of Christ. Like an artist who creates a beautiful Statue out of a rough stone, so also the Holy Spirit, when He chisels away at us (sometimes painful) wants to create the beautiful picture of Christlikeness. Something else to ponder: For the Israelites to get to the promised land they had to cross through a desert. The Lord is with us in the desert, and He will provide water from a rock to keep us going until we get to the other side.

May His love flood your heart, Sherry. Your family’s obedience in leaving the institutionalized, man-centred, expensive church, did not go unnoticed in the heavens! I am certain that the Lord is very pleased to see your zeal to follow the One, True God, our Lord Jesus Christ without compromise.

Thanks again for truth and wisdom.My family and I came away from the only church fellowship we ever knew because of a man called pastor running the show and running the church into slavery with sooo much debt just to build his earthly kingdom called church.He has caused the people that’s there to belive in the church growth movement and an easy salvation where a quick prayer is all that’s needed and your set for eternity.We got rapped up in all the worldliness coming into the fellowship,until Christ Himself let us know that this was not of Him and called us out away from it.We have been without a church family in the institutional church for 2 years now.This has been very hard for us because my husband has been affiliated with this church for 40 years and his heart is so broken over it all.I’m also the one who wrote in yesterday’s post about my son denying faith in Christ.My son is 22.Between us seeing a great falling away from the church to our son,this has took a great toll on myself and my family.God has got me in a place of absolute surrender,which is freeing but very difficult at the same time.I can just sense the purging of the Lord,where He is changing me from the inside out.Sometimes I don’t know how to function,but I know the Lord is in full control and I have to trust Him.I do know that the more I fully walk with Christ and obey Him in all things,the pursecution has never been greater,from my own family to friends,it’s as if they don’t understand why we left everything behind to follow Christ.The world and religion has a terrible foot hold within the church and what is sad is most don’t even see it as an attack of the ememy.It breaks my heart to see it happening.Thank’s again for your reply.

Hi Sherry,

Ever since the Garden man wants to have and be in control. We even see it in the church where pastors have taken control, running their own “show”. Satan made a promise to Adam and Eve,”eat and you will be like god’s”. Eat and you will be your own god, independent and not needing the One true God. Today many have added a god to the lives THEY lead ( just in case), when instead total surrender and, as you stated, dying to self is required. I love the story of King Jehoshaphat, found in 2 Chr. 20. When three armies came against them, instead of trying to fight, they trusted the Lord to fight the battle for them. All they did was worship Him. God then turned these enemies against each other. The king just watched it happen. This is our victory, when we give our lives completely over to Christ.

When Gods word says “the truth will set you free”,this devotion today is “absolute freedom from truth”.The problem ly’s when our way’s surpasses God’s way’s,and God will let us have our way to show us how much we should have allowed His way’s in the first place.Dying to self and letting God live through us is like walking off of a cliff without a parachute, believing and trusting He will catch us when we fall.Why is this sooo hard for us??
