Chip,

Fighting from victory! That's really beautiful.

Reminds me of 2 Sam 7:27 where David prays for something The Lord has already promised him.

Praying from victory?

I will continue to pray for your family.

Your are right Brother Chip, we are not fighting for victory, but we are fighting from victory. In the Old Testatment we were told that the Israelites were afraid of their enemies because of their large numbers of soldies. The Prophet did not pray to the Lord for victory, but to open the Isrealites' eyes. When they opened their eyes they saw that the victory was won for them by the Lord. They were not afraid anymore and went to subdue the enemy.

Amen, dear brother! Amen!
And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. (Exodus 14:13) You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.” (2 Chron.20:17)) The WHOLE of that chapter is an awesome story of God's deliverance when His people simply stand and let Him accomplish what is often far too overwhelming for us to accomplish on our own! I have stood on these promises MANY times, and He TRULY does deliver. I believe that "standing still" is a position of peace and trust, not DOING but BELIEVING. Hallelujah!
