Religion says we have to be doing doing doing and if we aren’t then we aren’t doing enough! The point is that religion does and Jesus Is! We only have to “Be” in Him because He has already done it all. Being is not complacency because its all of Jesus that is our Being!

When I saw “Doing Flows From Being” this morning I laughed out loud and called my husband to the computer to show him your word for today. I’ll explain. I am an HR manager for a large commercial printing company. In addition to my HR duties I am also the proofer/editor, to read over our customers’ printed materials before we print them. Six or seven years ago, I think, I was proofing the quarterly magazine for a Baptist mega-church in our area. Every page was a description of one of their different ministries, what they were doing, etc. About half-way through the magazine I thought to myself, “Boy these people do a lot of stuff. They just do, do, do. They do so much it makes me exhausted just to read about it.” Instantly, at that very instant, a voice inside my head (not my own voice, a separate, distinct voice) said, “You don’t DO, you BE.” It was so clear that i looked up to see if anyone else in the room had heard it, but of course I knew they hadn’t. I was so overwhelmed and excited to tell my husband that evening what I had heard, and we have discussed this many times since. That word has stayed with me since that day, and I’ve lost count of the times I have since read similar words, in Watchman Nee’s and T. Austin-Sparks’ writings, and more. Thank you for hearing God and printing these truths to all who have ears to hear!

Just a susequent comment on your March 14th Posting:
“You will no more become a Christian by sitting in church, than you will become a car by sitting in a garage!”

Really being blessed by your commentary on Hebrews. May God continue to bless you and your family in the sacrificial work you are doing.

Bless you dear brother. Every thing you say is the Truth nothing else but the Truth. Too much mention of the word ‘Church’ in any conversation or in any articles agonises me. The another word is the word ‘Christian’. These two are ‘Misnomers.’
