The first time, when I was a young boy, it was like the rest new things I discover in this word. I knew that He was realy different then every I’ve seen yet and I’ll see after. All other of my descovers had in a one sens or an other a relation with Him.
When sin became bigger and usual in my life, I lost His life. And like Paul, a intensive meeting with the Lord arrived and found me in the middle of sins. It was once, but intensive and big. After some mounths, it became supportable, always amazing, be more frequently. I can see Him every where, in every situations, in everything, all the moment I can turn from one subject to an other. If I miss Him, it for few moment I need to call, to scout, to knock, to wait. Revealed or not, I now know wath I did’nt know before : He all ways is by my side.

Chip, My sister and I have been praying this very scripture over an unsaved loved one for a very long time. Waiting in faith for it to produce the fruit. I am positive that it will. This was a very encouraging reminder for us this morning. Thank you so much.

In reply to chuck selander. If we seek the Lord, He will reveal Himself to us. But He can also reveal Himself to those who are not seeking Him. So in the case of children or loved ones not seeking Him, we can still pray for Him to reveal Himself to them. How do we know, however, that they are not seeking Him? They may not seek Him as we would, but it does not necessarily mean they are closed to Him, or would not be receptive to Him. Sometimes it takes deep difficulties to get people's attention.

Hi Chip,
I’ve written to you before about revelation. You mentioned people in your comments today–none sought the revelation but knew, without a doubt that it was the Lord in that moment. Barnabas in Acts also saw the evidence of Greeks and Jews worshiping together for the first time ever and knew it was the Lord. We don’t choose those moments. What do we do with children who are walking unconcerned about what they “known”–but it is not real to them. Revelation/evidence would make that real and we pray that this would be the experience of our three children, now adults. But if there is not a revelation, where is Jesus? How do we handle that?

Thank you brother Chip for enlightening us again. The common denominator for Christ’s revelation to us is to be witnesses for Him. It is not for our own gain but for enlarging His Kingdom on earth. When we see Christ we decrease and He increases in our lives, so that like Pau, we can bear His Cross.

When the Lord saved me from myself I was not in a church building, I did not hear a sermon before a quick salvation prayer, nor did anyone lead me to the Lord in any way. The Lord put in my path several believers that lived their life before me, they loved on me and I could since a purity, a goodness and comfort about them that only Christ can give. So these saints that He put in place for me to see His fruits planted many good seeds for me to ponder on. One day at my house I was really needing a breakthrough with something I could do nothing about. In my desperation I cried out to Him and He answered immediately and herd my cries. All He wanted was for me to say I believed in Him and what He came to do for me. That was 11 years ago and I have never been the same. I followed religion until several years ago. I prayed for the Lord to give me Wisdom and Eyes to see Him and His word for absolute Truth and little by little He opened my eyes and ears. The longer I stayed in religion the more I could see the falseness of it. I became so grieved after the Lord showed how dead and false it all really is. I began to also discern who was really of Him and who was not. I have been alone with the Lord ever since. The Lord is very simple, to the point and matter of fact. Most of all He is Truth and His Truth never fails.

Your comments on what is to me a very familiar scripture, have enhanced it’s meaning, in a way that can only be described as refreshing,though not in the usual way….I feel I have drunk the coolest most delicious draught of fresh apple juice, on a hot summer day…thank you Chip, it was lovely!May the Lord bless you and refresh you also as seek His face.

I finished Bible School and been dismissed as pastor from my first church. I was at home, disappointed and discouraged, sitting at a deck in a closet I’d converted into a study, praying and asking God what was wrong. I had used everything I’d been taught in Bible School as to how to build a big church and to an extent it had worked, yet the church rejected it and ran me off. I just flipped open my bible, sort of in desperation, and the first thing I saw was II Peter 3:18. I didn’t have any idea what that meant but I told the Lord, If He would reveal it to me, I’d follow and obey. That was the first step to a long journey.
