Hi realy like this : “Eternal life” is just “an alias” of Jesus. Of cause, every thing in the bible that God present to us as from Him are just Jesus’s alias from Genesis to Revelation : Word, Light, Spirit, Water, … let the Holy Spirit lead us to find it.

And he who does NOT have Christ does not have life, but the wrath of God abides on him. He is ALL that we need in the next life and in this. He IS our life! Old things have passed away and behold all things have become new. He alone IS the Way, He is the Truth, He IS the Life, and we have need of no other. We need SEEK no other. We need only the simplicity that is in Him, to abide in Him, and He in us, to walk with Him all the days of our lives, and have the Light of God be a lamp to our feet, and a light our pathway – forever. The joy of Him, our LORD, is our strength! Amen.

One of the precious truths of the Gospel is knowing that we have eternal life IN Jesus Christ. NOT in or of ourselves, our flesh, or in our self-effort at living our lives through our own strength! Like Heaven, such a promise is taken as a guarantee by most Christians, no matter how they choose to live their lives. Yet, eternal life comes at a great price as does Heaven. Many who say: ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but ONLY he who does the will of the Father who is in heaven. May we never hear the words: ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you evildoers’.

Good point, Bill. It is actually in knowing the Father, our God, that we have eternal life. And the only way we can know Him – or have Him – is through knowing and having Jesus.

Dear brother,
I just discovered something….. It says Jesus is the Spirit – so when it says: walk in the Spirit, then it must mean: walk in JESUS !!! And that means: in the Power of HIS Strength !!!
