My understanding of the name written on the white stone, speaks of a secret love which the believer and Yeshua have kept between themselves. Since the believer and Yeshua have enjoyed an intimate relationship here, the name given may also determine the level of intimacy the believer will enjoy with Yeshua throughout eternity.

My understanding of this scripture would be that God grants wisdom and discernment to those who have overcome the world. God gives Truth who is Christ, the Manna, to those who overcome the world. The white stone I believe is another example of Christ. Our new name, our indentity, will be written in the secret place of the heart and only the Spirit of God will reveal that Truth to those that have faith in Him that gives all things. This I believe its is a supernatural awakening a quickening of our spirit to be made one with Him.

To me this scripture in Revelation 2:17 is saying two things. First, our true Spiritual nourishment will be met by Jesus as each day comes. It is “hidden” because the rest of the world does not see how God is meeting our daily needs. Next, the white stone with the new name is our means of acquittal from Sin. It is our firm, settled, and established position of redemption; and the innocence we find only as we overcome and are seen IN CHRIST. We receive that ‘new’ name as we walk faithfully in obedience with Him. I am not trying to interpret here, as much as just providing my insight. I hope that this may bless you all. Timothy
