Chip I really appreciate you saying there is no such thing as luck because I feel the same way. How can you believe or testify that God did it when you say how lucky you were. God is real, His word is real and there is no “luck” in God. I am so happy we have our Heavenly Father in Control and luck has no place there .If we only had luck to give us anything, most of us would would be great losers, but with Jesus Christ we are all winners if we accept him. Praise God from whom all Blessings flow.

Chip, I find this post a great pearl of wisdom! To God be the glory!
We all need to be reminded that God’s name will we hallowed in the end! His will indeed will be done! His Kingdom will come! Every knee will bow! There is no way the devil or men can thwart that eternal purpose!
I’m at a point in my life where the Cross is confronting me with many “old man” things but my choice is to embrace it no matter how much it hurts. I know there is life in the end!
Thank you for sharing the light the Lord has given you. All the glory be to Him who is the giver of every good gift!

In reply to Mitch. Mitch, I loved your comment! You are so right! We tend to be impressed by huge crowds, but the Lord has showed us He's not impressed by what the world calls sublime and glorious. Not impressed at all, indeed! He does have His Josephs, Esthers and Daniels whom He places in key positions of great influence, but most of us would like to have such a lofty position without paying the price they paid! And there are NO shortcuts here, unless you want to be a false prophet! May we learn to be like David and not like Saul!

Rom. 8:28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

There are those who are called to full time ministry, some to the mission field, and others to various definite callings.

But we are all called to reveal God’s glory (character and nature) to a dying and sin filled world. How we accomplish this is often through the little simple and everyday acts of kindness that we can do for those we are around.

It is easy to get caught up in allot of hype for the spectacular. The best and sometimes most effective ministry may just be a simple helping hand, a kind gesture or a word of encouragement to a total stranger.

He uses the good the bad and the ugly! Boy how this sounds like me some days!! Praise the Lord, He doesn’t give up on us with His will and looks for somebody else, He just works around our mishaps and continues onward. Yes, His will is definite and will endure until the end, so it’s up to us to stay focused as we run our race, as to not have too many injuries before we get there. I’m thinking if I can just keep running even though some day’s are painful and hard to endure, if I don’t give in to it, I’ll become stronger, the more I just keep moving closer to Him. We have to be conditioned with the word of God and prayer, and then our journey begins.
