Thank you for a most insightful description of faith beyond faith as it normally is understood.
Being bold, fearless, confident is something that follows authentic faith, it is just that like so many concepts we have today they have been reduced and distorted away from the truth. I liked you bringing to our attention, and it is a big one, related to the faith issue, of trusted God regardless of any outcome, 'good' or 'bad'. What this means is that this life is not the be and end all, we have a living hope that transcends anything that happens to us and around us. Our vision is Jesus and God's Kingdom, we will be with Jesus and the Father, and his children and it will be forever. No-one, nothing can stop God's love and his salvation for his children, death will be swallowed up and suffering will be gone. I have no doubt God is testing our faith in him, in good and bad times, things will be shaken, fire will purify us or destroy us. As in the past, so in the future will we truly trust the Lord no matter what the circumstances, will we cling to his word and promises, devote ourselves to him, love him with our hearts, he is so worthy. That is what the Lord wants and that is what we need to do to experience his life in us, even now, and even more completely when he returns.

Chip, keep on lifting Jesus high to the glory of God.
