Well said! We sure need the Micaiah voices in this day we live. I always loved that prophet. And not much has changed in how he was received back then either. He did not back down speaking what God gave him to say.
When God brought me out of the Harlot, the Word came to me saying, "There's a famine in the land, not of bread and water, but a famine of hearing the words of Lord." I was always a Bible reader so you learn to feed from His Word and depend on Him. You withdraw from what you got use to. But it is not easy. But it is the most liberating freedom to be in Christ! To be led by His Spirit, to worship Him in Spirit and truth, nothing compares to an intimate relationship with Jesus. It's all about Him.
Keep on, keeping on, Chip! Say it however God moves you to say it. May God raise up thousands of thousands saying what you are saying and writing. I pray God double your boldness in Him. Let the Son's of God arise up and speak the Word of God. Behold, the days are coming.

Hi Gillian! If you can't tell the difference between the message I'm bringing and the message the Harlot Church / Mega Church brings then, again, I wonder about your discernment. It is not a matter of whether or not to provide books or teachings, it is a question of feeding a Self-centered faith vs. a Christ-centered faith. People who get the difference are right to praise and applaud things that speak the Truth, point them to Christ, and help them grow; just as they are right to condemn or even make fun of religious hypocrisy masquerading as the Truth. Why are you making it more complicated than that? If it helps, I receive more than my fair share of criticism and condemnation to offset the praise and applause you think I receive. I'm curious as to why *I* am such a huge focus for you and your comments. If you're getting something from what I have to say then well and good; if not, feel free to move on to someone more to your liking. Either it bears witness or it doesn't.

Hi Chip. You talk about those Christians who only want to hear the positive and seek quick fixes (eg. preachers who tell them what the bible says, bookstores who provide books for them to read and the internet to enable them to keep in touch with other Christians.) Do you yourself not provide these things? You have sermons available on audio to be heard (or watched on video), plentiful books to be read on offer and an internet site by which you communicate with other Christians. OK, so you may say that what you provide is not produced to tickle the ears of Christians, but to speak the whole truth of God's word, however indigestible parts of it may be, and to see his Church grow into all that He wants it and meant it to be. Many of us also desire that! When God called me out of 'churchianity' as you put it, he said he had isolated me because he wanted to be everything to me, he wanted to be my teacher , he wanted me to know the real him- not the misrepresented him, he wanted to rely on him only for all my needs. I gave up reading Christian books (which had over-saturated me and confused me), stopped playing worship cassettes (the Lord said once to me 'the last thing I need is another worship song written for me') , I just sought him! I suppose what I am asking is 'how do you feel that promoting (and other people promoting) your books etc. is any different from those who for example, teach/preach on mega church television programmes and promote their resources also?' The other observation is that I notice many Christians are quick to praise and applaud you for your teachings on this site, the very thing they would probably condemn in other Christians who do the same by putting 'celebrity Christians' on TV, or well know Christian Authors, on pedestals - not a wise thing to do!

Chip ,Blessings to you and your family . I want you to know that I get it , I've been on the search for the truth for years , it came with Christ's call to be perfect as our Father in heaven is perfect , this is only possible by dying to the flesh and living to the Spirit , we have to surrender and let Him in to do the work. Not easy but possible because why would Christ make the challenge. To abide or be one in Christ is the key . Thank you Chip for your endless work and love of the Word . I pray that the Lord will keep growing you in love and truth again thank you

I lived 40 years that way, I had fun, friends, and church status. but I was living in sin and not really repenting because i never changed. I was a "carnal" christian. Now since the Lord did a real work in me. christians usually avoid me , for some reason. It's great to live with Him, outside the camp and in the wilderness. God is so good.

Chip, again, thank you! You know, I believe that encouragement is something that is NOT ALWAYS a "positive" thing. It can be seen to be a very NEGATIVE thing, but if that "encouragement" strengthens someone and brings them to maturity, how GREAT IS that "encouragement."

I just looked up the word "presume" and it is VERY scary. (1)to think that (something) is true without knowing that it is true, (2) to accept legally or officially that something is true until it is proved not true, (3) to do (something) that youdo not have the right or permission to do. (Merriam-Webster) We tend to "delete" the things that are negative, PRESUMING that we are right and "I'm OK, Jack!".....but can be like the frog in the pot of cold water swimming around happily thinking he was just fine while the heat was turned up on the stove slowly, and he didn't know he was on "death row" until he died as the water came to boiling point. He presumed. We must be VERY wary of the great and deadly sin of "presumption".

Your word spoke to me very strongly today. Thank you!

Hello Chip,
It's me again.

Yes. I always wanted to seek the truth first.
Thus, in spite of I would more often want to be encouraged than destroyed, I continue to look for the principles which are true. Whether the person through whom I receive them is popular or not.

I am always satisfied with what you bring me. How to explain ? You are the gift that God gave me when I shouted to Him. I did not think worthy of a so precious present, but I wanted to receive from the truth. Even if it means all difficulties, all barriers because of language, all hours to decrypt your messages. I'm not disappointed. The gift is like a cave filled with treasures for which I come to look every day (if I'm not too bad).

To use another image .. A friend offered me one day a porcelain cup. I use it every day because it is light and pretty. Sometimes when I have not been able to wash it I use a bowl, but otherwise I use this big cup every day. Some days I put in my favorite drink, my favorite tea, green tea with mint or ginger and lemon, or tea with bergamot. Other days I drink something that I like least... but I do not forget that it is a beautiful present.

So, even if you sometimes put articles which seem to me less pleasant, less encouraging... I do not forget that you are for me, the gift which God offered to me. Even if now I manage better to read English and even if I found the way to read other people's articles (whom seem to be popular and to have a lot of "likes" Facebook), I would like to tell you Chip, that you remain the only gift that God gave me according to a list of criteria which I expressed Him.And you are only the one towards who I go first and foremost to see what God would want to pass on me through you.

If I thought: " well I am going to go towards others who are always encouraging, furthermore there is a good reason so that they are so popular ", it would be as to betray God and the present which He made me.

Thank you again Chip to remain so faithful to God and to the truth. :-)

Yes... but some of us are sometimes in such a state of unease and so much needed encouragement instead of the usual criticism and reproaches. But yes, for others it is an easy option and a way of refusing to see the reality behind appearances.

«We must seriously question things that pass themselves off as “ministry”. It is clear that the practice of “ministry” – whether it comes in the form of a sermon or a song – is becoming synonymous with “Christian Entertainment.” It is not so much what they say as what they fail to say.»

All right, I note it and hope to remember of this... for not go astray/not to mislead myself. ;-) We must not lose sight of these important points wich you explain./These important points which you explain are not to be lost sight.
