Chip, I have heard others say that Christ was revealed IN them..I never know what they’re speaking about. I’ve heard His voice twice..I’ve had a few dreams..but what exactly are you describing?

Well said Chip.

These moments that we encounter the living God are truly unbelievable. I have numerious ones, but the one that will always stick in my memory is the one I had when my father suddenly and unexpectedly passed away. I was only about six years old in the Lord and was still getting use to the fact that God really cared about my own personal well being.

My wife and our two daughters had arrived at my fathers home and I was trying to get my mind around what had just happened. I felt as if a run away freight train had just hit me. The house was filled with neighbors and relatives and in the midst of all that clamor I had to get alone and talk to God.

I proceeded to walk out the barnyard alone and just began to cry out unto the Lord and let Him know that I needed Him. In the midst of my confusion and turmoil I very clearly heard Him say these words: “Am I Lord of your life?” I immediately answered will a vocal “YES”. He then said this: “Because I am Lord of your life I will allow you to experience how you will feel one year from now”. And in a twinkling of an eye I felt what I would feel a year later, and then it was gone. Then the Lord said this: “You are free to m0urn, grieve, and miss your father. That is all part of the process of life.”

I can never express in words how that carried me thru the upcoming days. I did mourn and grieve, but inside I knew that everything was alright. Do I miss my father, absolutely. That happened over 36 years ago, and I can still “feel” that moment and I will never forget it.

That is why I thank God for this opportunity to share with you from my life and glean from all of the wonderful and precious comments and testimonies that you all post.

Praise be unto Jesus our Lord and provider.

Never knew that about you but it explains a lot. I know of two other men (I am sure there are many others and women also who had similar experiences).

One, Walter Buetler, began traveling the world afterwards, went to over 100 countries, some more times than he could even remember. The other, Wade Taylor, taught at Elim for years than founded Pine Crest Bible institute. Many ministers acknowledge him as their spiritual father.

Been waiting for something like that myself.

When we understand that the sin that condemns us was committed by someone else in the Garden of Eden, long before we were born, and that the needed sacrifice for the sins of the whole world was made by someone else on a cross, long before we were born (Rom. 5:12), it is then that we realize that the CHRISTian life is ALL about CHRIST, and not us! Because of the sin-gene passed on by Adam, ALL humans must be born-gain!

What a glorious experience that is Chip. Mine has been a struggle because God worked it out through different experiences in my life, it was more like a butterfly metamorphosis story with many varied and confusing stages but the destination was the final flight of the butterfly! He took down everything that was not fit for kingdom use, fixed some and threw some out.( I know that now) Then he said to me ” You are NOT your own, I had bought you with a price, Rest in me that’s all I ask” and I said “yes sir! The perfect view is here with Christ. The view from below will always be wrong no matter how passionate it seems.
