01. The Post-Apostolic Age
Jesus and the apostles all warned – implicitly through prophecy, and explicitly in direct teaching – that the leaven of religiosity and hypocrisy would corrupt the Ekklesia.
It did not happen all at once, but slowly over the first 250 of its existence. God preserved a Remnant of true believers, but the general direction was toward a Church-centered Faith instead of a Christ-centered Faith.
