You come to the Book of Revelation, chapter 18, and you hear God saying, “Come out of her, My people.” That is, come out of Babylon. But wait a minute – He’s not talking to the Jews, telling them to come out of Babylon; He’s talking to followers of Jesus who lost their first love and got seduced by the harlot! He’s referring to the religious system, the harlot church, that uses sorcery to deceive the nations, and even to deceive God’s own people and let them astray from the simplicity of Christ. Very remarkable to see history, prophetic history, repeating itself.
Now, I will tell you this much: you may be lonely, but you are not alone. I’ve been following Jesus outside the camp since 1999, and I can tell you that there is a whole community of people all over the world who have gone forth to be with Jesus, outside the camp, and they are bearing His reproach with joy and with love and with peace. And they would rather be with Jesus outside the camp, bearing His reproach, than back inside the camp without Him.
