The Psalms are more than ancient poetry, worship, and prayers; they are prophetic revelations and declarations of truth concerning Christ and His Kingdom. Although David saw in part and prophesied in part, what he saw and proclaimed was amazingly rich and deep – so much so, that Jesus Himself quoted, taught, and used the Psalms to impart spiritual wisdom and revelation. Similarly, as we study these Messianic Psalms, I pray that our understanding would be opened, that we, too, would comprehend these Scriptures, and be strengthened and encouraged in a Christ-centered faith.
