In my early 20s I pastored a church – and nearly had a nervous breakdown. I thought the secret to victory was finding a new spiritual warfare method or technique to do a better job of beating the devil. In frustration, I threw away dozens of “spiritual warfare books,” went to my backyard, and begin reading Scripture. What I discovered marked the beginning of the end of my career as a preacher for Organized Religion! God opened my eyes and I suddenly “saw” everything – from the throne to the cross, and then from the cross to the throne. Most importantly, I saw that VICTORY IS A MAN, and tht my key to victory is simply living TOGETHER with Him, as the Branch lives in the Vine!
In this teaching series we will see from Scripture how God has made us ONE with Christ, so that we who live in Jesus are the crucified, dead, buried, resurrected, ascended, seated, and overcoming BRANCHES of a crucified, dead, buried, resurrected, ascended, seated, and overcoming VINE. So long as we remain where God has placed us – TOGETHER in Christ – we cannot be defeated. God knows this. Satan knows this. Do we?
