The Temple is an archetype in Scripture – meaning, it is a recurring theme with symbolic, spiritual, and prophetic significance. The Scriptural narrative is about rebuilding, reestablishing, and restoring that fellowship that was broken – and these temples represent God’s ongoing effort to connect with us. As we explore the seven temples of God in this series, we’ll find that each temple is symbolic, both of God’s desire to have fellowship with us, and of His progressive movement that takes us from the earthly structure to the spiritual reality.
