“The mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” (Col. 1:26,27).
Amazing mystery revealed! Not only does all the fullness of God dwell in Christ, but all the fullness of Christ dwells in us (Col. 2:9,10). I doubt we really grasp the significance of that! And so, “Him we preach.” Not a doctrine or denomination, but a Person. And not Someone Who is “up there” but Someone Who is “in here!” Christ in you!
Among other things, it means that God is not sitting in heaven speaking to us from a great distance. Nor is God merely “with us” in the sense that He is “everywhere.” The real significance is that God, through Christ, and by the Holy Spirit, is not just with us, but in us. This changes everything.
