05. Righteous Difficulties

Difficulties are inevitable, but many difficulties are avoidable!

Desire creates difficulty. Even the right desire creates difficulty, as we have observed: “All who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.” Joseph, Daniel, Jesus, and Paul all demonstrated that this kind of difficulty is worth enduring. We deal with righteous difficulty not by avoiding it or complaining about it or fearing it, but by rejoicing, being exceedingly glad, being of good cheer, and leaning into it.
