Forgiveness is the only thing that will end the vicious cycle of violence and evil.
Forgiveness touches all of us because it is impossible for us to live in the world without hurting and being hurt by others. And all of us have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. Rather than leave us in pain, God freely offers forgiveness as the healing balm of the Kingdom. But to take full advantage of this, and to receive the full benefit and blessing of this forgiveness, we must give it as freely as we have received it. Forgiveness is the key to your own salvation, healing, and deliverance and is the hidden wisdom of God that empowers us to overcome evil with good by perfecting us in love and transforming our fallen, sinful nature into His. How God does this is a wonderfully simple but profound Divine Mystery.
