The Redemptive Purpose of God
04. The Redemptive Purpose of Reconciliation
We have seen in this series that the Redemptive Purpose of God begins with salvation – the forgiveness of sins. From there, God begins to make us into new creations, bringing health and healing to our spirit, soul, and body. And, since we still live in a fallen world, God actively delivers us from evil by working together with us to overcome evil with good. Ultimately, the Redemptive Purpose of God results in reconciliation, the restitution of all things, putting things back to where they should be, and restoring everything that was damaged, lost, or stolen. No more tears, no more pain, no more death, no more curse – but all things gathered together in Christ, “that God may be All in All.”
