ESSENTIALS OF A CHRIST-CENTERED FAITH
09. Salvation By Grace
“Teach these things to faithful people who can teach others.” (2 Tim. 2:2).
In this message we pickup the thread from the previous message and examine how Salvation of Grace was derailed by Evangelicalism, the unintending consequences of deifying man’s free will, and the blessings and benefits of Grace according to Scripture. In Christ, and by the blood of His Cross, God has (already) reconciled the lost, dead world to Himself. Jesus said, “Father, forgive them… for they know not what they do.“ God said, “O.K., I will.“ Jesus said, “Teleō” – It is Finished. Paid in Full. All Done. Mission Accomplished. (Jn. 19:30.) That is the message of the Cross. It’s better than Good News – it’s Fantastic, Too-Good-To-Be-True, “Lord I Believe But Help My Unbelief” Good News! That’s why it is a Difficult Path – not because people find it difficult to walk, but because people find it difficult to believe it could really be as simple as all that.
