Exploring the 7 Temples of God

01. The Garden of Eden

There are seven temples revealed in Scripture as God progressively makes Himself available to man in His desire for communion and connection.

The Temple is an archetype in Scripture – meaning, it is a recurring theme with symbolic, spiritual, and prophetic significance. The first Temple wasn’t a building, but a garden: Holy ground where God and man communed daily. That fellowship was broken, and thus the Scriptural narrative is about rebuilding, reestablishing, and restoring that broken fellowship. As we explore the seven temples of God in this series, we’ll find that each temple is symbolic, both of God’s desire to have fellowship with us, and of His progressive movement that takes us from the earthly structure to the spiritual reality.
